Revisiting Summer

The one thing I love about scrapbooking with freedom is that you can scrap any event, regardless of the season.  I try not to worry too much about scrapping in order or including every moment on a page.  I found some pictures that I really liked and decided to remember our summer vacation.  I pulled out some Webster's Pages from my stash and went to work.

I love all my Webster's collections and the Our Travels line remains one of my all time favorites.  I love the sky and clouds paper.  I added in some wooden embellishments and stickers.  Webster's in my stash always means embellishments.

This page reminds me of how carefree we were in the summer and how much my children adore Maine.  It warms my heart because it is a place I remember so fondly!

A Page About Us

The month's theme for Inside Out Visual Journaling is Forward, which is quite fitting for our lives right now.  We are moving full steam ahead forward to times of big changes.  Steve will potentially be taking on a new job that will impact our lives.  It is all good and we are excited.  But things won't be the same.

I have great faith in our ability to handle it, though I am sure there will be bumps along the way.  I am vowing to stay positive and understanding.

More than likely, he won't be home during summers anymore.  Our lives as two teachers is done.  Hours will be adjusted and each of us will be taking on more.  Sometimes life gives you an opportunity you can't say no to so we are moving forward.

Somewhere along the way I have settled in to being focused as a mom at a level different than before.  I am enjoying taking care of my family on a whole new level so I am going to try to embrace it.  I know there will be stress and I may not be able to go grocery shopping sans children.  I will have to juggle more...But we are all together and healthy so what do I have to complain about in the grand scheme.

I love this kit from Inside Out.  It is so pretty and full of cool elements.  It was perfect to help me start to tell this story.  I am sure there will be more to come soon as we move forward.

Happy New Year!

I have many resolutions this year!  One is to blog more frequently, but I am struggling with how to accomplish that when I have no motivation!  I am not scrapbooking much these days as life has taken over.  The kits from Inside Out Journaling keep me busy and inspired.  If I didn't have that force, I might be done altogether.

So, a layout using the January kit called Forward.  It documents my resolutions and shows how fun this kit is with all the patterns and embellishments!

I got my handcutting on and used the scalloped edge as a pretty border.  Then I just layered some transparencies, journaling cards and stickers.

I guess it is a small victory that I blogged tonight.  I will see if I can gain some consistency!

Happy New Year!
