Imagine me as a kid. I used to feel like someone was following me down the stairs so I would always run as fast as I could to the bottom. I would also spend hours not being able to fall asleep because I would see shadows that looked like skulls or wallpaper patterns that reminded me of a million eyes.
So here I am in the pitch black with my two kids upstairs sleeping in their beds and DH out with friends. EEK! Did you know that cellphones make great flashlights? It was all I could find. Come to find out later that all the other ones were in Steve's car from our little camping out trip.
I muddled through and I think I learned that the dark is not so scary. We had a big snuggle fest in our bed because the kids, of course, woke up!
Oh, the joys of this summer! It has allowed me time to experiment with scrapbooking though. I have been playing with white space and simplier designs. Just shaking it up a bit! Here is a recent one:

Glad you made it through the night and have your lights back so you could share this fabulous layout. I have a very similar idea in my head for a sketch assignment I have due. Seeing your layout lets me know that it could work and look SUPER!

ReplyDeleteglad you made it through the dark. i don't like it either so i have my lamp on my desk in the living room blugged into battery backup which gives me time to find a flashlight or light a lamp. and love your loooo!!!

I still don't like having my blinds open at night thinking some strange face will be looking back in on me! hahahaha --- you must be getting the round of storms we've had all week. we had some monstrous thunder and lightning about midnight last night and supposed to get another brutal round tonight! hope you got those flashlights out of the car!
ReplyDeleteVERY CUTEEEE PAGE! and YESSS I have used my cell phone several time as a flash light. We get freak thunderstorms here (having one now ughhhhh!!!!) all the time. I always have my phone in my pocket or on my person someeeewhere. and have had to use it to find my way. Bella thinks it is wayyyyy coool! I still think I need to upgrade to the I PHONE. Then I wouldnt be bored as well. (I just have a boring old razor.

I'm one that has a flashlight hidden in several places around the house that only I know where it is so hubby/sons wouldn't walk off with it because I'm a big chicken too - mostly because I'm so clumsy that I'm likely to break my neck walking around in the dark & trip over one of our cats or the dogs lol
Can't wait to meet you in person at CHA can you believe it's almost time to go? I hear it was in the high 90's at 10 am today are you ready for that?

ReplyDeleteYou are so adorable and I too am not a big fan of the dark either!!!!! Love the LO and all the wonderful details!!!!! Have fun at CHA and think of me!!!!!! We stayed an extra day at the beach and will be heading home tomorrow....yuck...back to reality!!!! :)
