When It Just Doesn't Feel Right

So, I should have learned by now that when I don't totally feel like scrapping, I should not scrap.  I push paper around for a good portion of the night!  And I can't make decisions.

I made a new layout using the Snow Day line from Crate Paper.  I love chipboard and no one does it like Crate!  I went back and forth between a Kraft and White background.  My photos got lost everytime on the white so I went with Kraft.  But it felt like nothing popped.  I sat on it for a couple of days and made some tweaks.  Now I see it on the computer screen and I still can't tell which one I prefer.

Maybe you can help me...

Here is the first attempt:

And then with a red border to make the eyes go to the photo.

What do you think!?  Red border or no red border...be honest, but nice...LOL.  I am vulnerable!

Looking forward to your opinions and for that moment when I can make decisions again!

  3. I'm going with no red border and I'll tell you why. As I scrolled back and forth between the layouts I found my eyes going immediately to the photos without the red border.

With the red it looks nice. It does balance out the other color patterns that have red, but I found my eyes almost feeling calmer when I viewed the first one.

  8. I say no red border - without the red border, my eyes are drawn to the photos. The red border takes away from your photos I find.

Actually I just read what Melissa typed - what she said! LOL

  9. I like both:-) If I HAD to choose, I would pick without the red border. The page is amazing either way!!!

  10. With the red border - the LO is lovely.

Without the red border - the LO is lovely, and the pictures pop out more.

So - what is your intention? Focus on a lovely LO or focus on the pictures?

  11. I think with NO red border, but the border doesn't ruin it in anyway

  12. I think either is great but I found that on the page without the red my eyes went there first, on the other my eyes went to the red border and then the pics.

  13. I'm actually partial to the no-red-border one too. It's softer, somehow, which I think fits the theme better - and I must say that I "found" the photos easier on that one. Love them both tho - you're amazing! If this is what you make when you're not happy... oh well... The rest of us might just give up! :D
