The Next Three Days...

...it is supposed to rain. It is pouring right now! But I am okay with it for two reasons. First, we usually rent our cottage during this week, but switched it to August this year---lucky for us! Secondly, I am going to sunny, hot Florida next week and all this rain will only make that sweeter!

Hope all is well with everyone! I am enjoying the pace of the summer, but am getting antsy because I know I have to pack, travel, be away from the kids. Change sometimes sucks for me! LOL!

I have been admiring the new releases and can't wait to see them in person. Right now, Pink Paislee, Webster's Pages and Little Yellow Bicycle are standing out to me. I know we have great things coming from Basic Grey and Jenni Bowlin too!

Here is a quick and simple layout I just made using the July Studio Calico kit! I adore orange on a scrappy page so the papers in the kit are perfect!

Now, I need to find something to do with the kids for the next three days. Any suggestions???

  1. ah i love that page - totally need to pull my kit out! As for the kids, Play Doh is always a favorite for rainy days around here! :)

  3. Love the LO and you are going to have such fun....any room in your suitcase to take me!!!! I always try to come up with things to do with the children when it rains....Evan loves to build forts with blankets and chairs and then we eat our lunch inside..just like we are camping! We also take time to play board games and even bake cookies....the slice and bake work well and I just let him decorate away!!!! Have a Terrific Tuesday sweet friend!!! :)

  5. Great layout. Florida? We love Florida, and visits to Walt Disney World. It's a favourite place to go for us.

  6. That is a great page. The orange really makes the whole thing pop.

It's been a while since I had little ones but we always loved board games & doing art projects on the kitchen table.

  7. Beautiful page, Stacey!!

The kids... ummm... hard question, but what pops into my head right now is baking, play games, let them make mini albums about themselves (I'm not sure how old they are, but if they're old enough), watch a film, read a book, listen to music and goof around...

Well, I hope you have a good time in the rain! ;)

  8. I adore that layout, stacey, and those photos are so cute! Aren't kid tickles the best?! Sigh, I so wish that I was going to FL next week, too - I would have loved to meet you! Maybe winter ;-) Good luck keeping the kids entertained - I am in the same boat!

  9. Adorable layout! No suggestions with kids, if you figure it out, let me know and I'll send you mine. I loved WP christmas line, wow! and PP halloween and fall. And we haven't even seen BG yet!!

  11. This is such an adorable page! I'm a fan of orange also. Funny thing, I don't think I really use it that much but it really is one of my favorite colors. I'm always drawn to it!

Can't be much help to you in the kiddo department. I've spent too many years learning to deal with tempermental teenagers and then a tempermental me when said teenagers grow up and move away! LOL!

Have a blast at CHA! Can't wait to hear all about it! xoxo L.
